1)      What Is your role at your current institution?

  • I have been a C.O.A.S.T Advisor for 7 years at Prince Georges Community College. C.O.A.S.T stands for Creating Opportunities for Academic Success and Transfer.

2)      What are three values that drive you?

  • Dedication
  • Servitude
  • Strategic Innovation

3)      If you could do another job for one day, what would it be?

  • I would be a motivational public speaker with a schedule set to travel around the world.

4)      What do you like about working for your institution?

  • What really drew me to my institution in 2016 was PGCC’s tagline: Transforming Lives. Since becoming staff, I know that my life has been transformed and I know that I have touched a lot of students' lives.  We assist students daily with gaining early college credits to start their careers early. Additionally, as an institution in Prince George County, we have one of the most diverse populations and we are able to serve the black and Hispanic communities in the surrounding areas. This is why I enjoy working at my institution.

5)      Words of advice

  • Advocate for yourself! You are yourself incorporated. You are what makes your dreams and aspirations come true. What you sow Is what you shall reap, so do not forget to have confidence in yourself and always be bold in what you believe in. Even when others don't believe or cannot see your vision, you must continue to strive towards your purpose with passion and patience.  The BEST is yet to come!
