Working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, provided many challenges but also many opportunities. Specifically, being away from our students, stakeholders, colleagues, and desks and I mean physically away from them pushed our institutions, departments and each of us into creativity overdrive. The opportunities presented new and unique ways that transformed how we executed our outputs and considered our inputs.
How many of us learned new ways to virtually communicate with students, and our colleagues, through Zoom, Teams, WebEx, or Google Meet? I've seen the increase in colleague institutions and more specificially enrollment management offices utilizing Microsoft Bookings for virtual scheduling. We facilitated programs, adjusted forms from paper versions to electronic ones, launched technology solutions in new ways, and more. The sheer creativity of higher education professionals was no short of amazing, as it probably was stressful. Yet, you did it! We did it! We made it! We are working in a combination of environments - remote, hybrid and in-person engaging in new habits of practices. And that's thanks to - YOU!
