The Registrar’s Office at Towson University is committed to providing the highest level of service to students, faculty and staff in order to facilitate student success, teaching excellence, and administrative integrity. The Registrar’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Reenrollment Associate. This position communicates policies to students and parents; processes multiple transactions in PeopleSoft and Salesforce including reenrollment applications, reverse transfer, and special programs; and assists with initial residency review, as directed. This is a student facing position handling a high volume of calls, emails and inquiries. Must be technically proficient in multiple software applications.


Exercises independent judgment and initiative with limited supervision while performing a full range of administrative duties related to the day-to-day operations in the Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs office, all while projecting a professional, knowledgeable, and positive image of the University. The Reenrollment Associate must handle sensitive and highly confidential documents with care and comply with University, FERPA, and USM tuition policies at all times.


Responsibilities and Duties

Manages reenrollment chat and reenrollment emails and phone calls. Directs in-person inquiries to appropriate residency and reenrollment staff member. Drafts and signs routine correspondence as directed by Assistant Director of Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs. Independently handles procedural and substantive matters and inquiries. Provides follow up to submitted reenrollment applications and residency petitions when determined by Assistant Director of Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs. Serves as back-up, as needed, for residency emails and phone calls. Represents Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs as first line of contact, provides information to external and internal candidates requiring knowledge of institutional policies, procedures, and special department concerns. Interprets administrative decisions and policies to other staff, internal and external shareholders; transmits directions and instructions based on authority delegated by the Assistant Director of Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs. Anticipates correct course of action when supervisor is absent and facilitates problem resolution.


Assists with the processing of online reenrollment applications in Salesforce and Peoplesoft Campus Solutions. Processes applications and correspondence to the reenrolled students daily. Schedules reenrolled students for registration and set advising holds. Coordinates online registration for reenrolled students, which must be entirely manual after registration dates are determined. Handles follow-up transcripts, correspondence, and verification of academic progress allowing students to be conditionally reenrolled. Provides support to reenrollment stop out outreach and marketing. Implements and maintains paper and electronic filing systems which meet department needs and satisfy requirements for retention and information security. Enters, updates, and retrieves information as needed. Monitor staff calendars for Residency, Reenrollment and Special Programs announcements and deadlines ensuring accuracy and reporting any discrepancies to Assistant Director of Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs. Edits, formats, and revises a variety of documents and materials created by others. Proofreads for grammatical, typographical, and basic content errors, as directed by Assistant Director of Residency, Reenrollment and Special Programs.


Serve as support for special registration programs. Special Programs include but are not limited to: National Student Exchange, Associate-to-Bachelor's, Study Abroad, Study Away, and FTP. Assist with PeopleSoft jobs, reverse transfer, and CBE student groups. Additional special programs may be assigned as needed and determined by the Assistant Director of Residency, Reenrollment, and Special Programs. Assists other units within the Registrar's Office with special projects, including performing research and compiling, editing, and revising reports.


Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree
One year experience in administrative staff work.
Must have superior customer services skills.
Must be technically proficient.
Must have high attention to detail.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft (SIS), Perceptive Content (imaging), Salesforce (CRM), Chat, DocuSign, and FormsAssembly a plus.


Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
