Building Connections in a Time of Change
Dear CAPACRAO Colleagues,
Serving as President of CAPACRAO this year has given me the opportunity to reflect on the power of our professional community. Each of us works in environments that are constantly evolving. New technologies are emerging, policies continue to shift, and the expectations placed on admissions and registrar professionals continue to grow. Yet through all of these changes, one thing remains constant: the value of learning from one another.
Our association exists because professionals across our region believe in collaboration, shared learning, and supporting the next generation of higher education leaders. Whether you work in admissions, the registrar’s office, enrollment operations, or student services, the challenges we face are often similar. CAPACRAO provides a space where we can exchange ideas, share strategies, and strengthen our collective expertise.
This year, my goal is to continue expanding opportunities for members to connect with one another. Professional engagement does not always have to take place in large conferences or formal meetings. Sometimes the most valuable insights come from simple conversations about what is working on our campuses and what we are learning along the way.
I invite each of you to think about how CAPACRAO can continue to serve as a resource for your professional growth. If there is a topic you would like to see explored, a challenge you are navigating on your campus, or a strategy that has worked well for your team, we would love to hear about it.
Our strength as an organization comes from the experiences and perspectives of our members. When we share knowledge with one another, we all grow stronger as professionals and as a community.
Thank you for the work you do each day to support students and advance higher education. I look forward to connecting with many of you throughout the year.
Warm regards,
Sheena Jackson, MS
President, CAPACRAO
