January Member Spotlight: Tajhanae Peters

Tajhanae has been an active CAPACRAO leader since October 2025, serving on the Executive Board as Vice President of Membership and as a liaison for the Legislation and Policy Committee. Her commitment to strengthening member engagement and advancing professional collaboration reflects the heart of CAPACRAO’s mission.
About Tajhanae’s Role
As a Graduate Admissions Counselor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Tajhanae guides prospective students from inquiry to enrollment. She serves as a trusted resource on programs, admissions criteria, and next steps, creating an accessible and supportive pathway for applicants pursuing graduate nursing education.
Professional Highlight
This year, Tajhanae was nominated for the Margaret G. Tyson Dean’s Fund for Excellence Award, a meaningful recognition of her dedication, impact, and service to students and colleagues.

“One piece of advice I would offer to my colleagues in higher education is to remain open to feedback, even when it feels challenging or uncomfortable, as it is critical to meaningful professional growth and development.”
