Name:
Courtney Resnick, EdD
Title: Associate University Registrar
Institution: Johns Hopkins University

What do you do at Johns Hopkins University?

At Johns Hopkins, I oversee the production of the university-wide catalogue and manage course and classroom scheduling for the Homewood divisions (Arts & Sciences/Engineering). Last year, we merged ten different catalogues into one online source, which was a huge accomplishment that I’m very proud of!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m not working, I’m usually chasing my toddler, Leni. Other things I enjoy include knitting, embroidering, hiking, reading, cooking, and wine tasting.

What are your credentials/experience, for working in your position?

Prior to working at Johns Hopkins, I spent seven years working at the University of San Francisco where I oversaw course scheduling for the College of Arts & Sciences. In addition to working at USF, I also earned a doctorate there in the field of Organization & Leadership. My dissertation work, which was focused on developing an instrument that measures LGBTQ microaggressions in the workplace was recently published in the Journal of Homosexuality. I feel passionate about advocating for LGBTQ issues in organizations and have done so at JH through my membership on the University’s Diversity Leadership Council.

Your top three favorite Podcasts/Books?

I love all sorts of podcasts, so this is hard to answer! If I had to choose my top three, they would be: This American Life, The Daily, and Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me. I saw a live taping of Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me once and it was a dream come true!

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I think it would be super fun to be a graphic designer!
